DIRECTIONS
75 HIGH STREET - CHATHAM - NEW YORK 12037

Click Here for Google Map Directions >

From NYC and Points South:
Chatham is most easily reached from the NYC area by taking one of two routes to the Taconic State Parkway and then following the simple directions below.

To reach the Taconic State Parkway from the west side of Manhattan, take the West Side Highway uptown to the Henry Hudson Parkway north. Continue to the Saw Mill River Parkway north. After a short while on the Saw Mill you will pass an exit for Elmsford and one for I-287 Tappan Zee Bridge. Just a little farther north on the Saw Mill, you will come to a fork which splits the road into two Parkways, the continuing Saw Mill to the left and the Taconic State to the right. Bear right.

To get to the Taconic coming up the east side of Manhattan or from the outer boroughs or eastern Westchester, take the Major Deegan Expressway to the Cross County Parkway west, which will take you to the Saw Mill and continue as above. It is also possible to take the Cross County Parkway east to the Hutchinson River Parkway toward CT, which will take you to I-684. That will take you to I-84 west, which in turn will lead to the Taconic.

Once on the Taconic State Parkway, just stay on it headed north. Once you are in Columbia County, you will pass three exits: one for Ancram/Hudson, one for Claverack/Hillsdale and one for Philmont/Harlemville. The next exit after Philmont/Harlemville is for Austerlitz/Chatham. Take that exit, and at the end of the off ramp make a right turn onto County Route 203. After crossing over the Taconic (150-200 feet) make the first right turn onto County Route 61. Stay on route 61 for about one mile. When you come to the bottom of a long steep hill and see the railroad tracks ahead of you, the beckoning steep incline of High Street will be directly on your left. Take that left and follow High Street past Line Street and Dinnegar Street to the last driveway on the left before the street ends in a turnaround. You will then be at 75 High Street.

From Massachusetts and Points East:
From the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) west, just stay on that highway until you reach exit B-2 "Taconic State Parkway". At that exit you will pick up the Taconic, which only goes south from that point. Take the Taconic to the second exit, "Austerlitz/Chatham - Route 203". At the end of the off-ramp, you will bear to your right slightly and cross over 203 to pick up County Route 61.

From Albany and points North or West:
Take I-90 east to exit B-2 "Taconic State Parkway" and follow the directions as from Massachusetts and points east.
